This is a good point.  If the storage is in use for a number of years, 
it may be best to replace the existing drives with new larger drives 
so the existing layout remains optimal.  Also, consider adding or 
replacing drives when 60-80% of the space is used so that new data can 
still be written reasonably optimally.  Raw disk space is cheap.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of a zfs subcommand which displays the 
amount of storage space consumed from each drive.  Perhaps one should 
be added.
