Tim Sorry to be a pain but I think I don't understand the packaging system well enough. I did the pkg refresh and pkg image-update to find that it has updated to snv_101a.
Looking at the listing on pkg.opensolaris.org, I don't see an snv_102. Do I need to: 1) wait 2) Update the authority list to point to some other package repository or 3) Perform some other magic to get the snv_102 release Thanks Adrian -----Original Message----- From: Adrian Wood [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, 7 November 2008 8:56 AM To: tim szeto Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [storage-discuss] Solaris as an iSCSI Target for Windows 2008 Clustering Tim Thanks - I'll check it out. It may be a few days now till I get a chance. I am running snv-101. For my information, which should I be focussing on: COMSTAR or the iSCSITarget Daemon? I currently have a working configuration with Windows 2003 clustered against a linux iscsi implementation for my test lab which consists of CentOS, OpenSolaris and Windows hosts. I would like to update this for use with Windows 2008 as well to test out clustering and other new functionality. Unfortunately, this requires SCSI-3 Persistent Reservations. I am reading about the ISCSITGT and ComStar implementations of iSCSI Targets on OpenSolaris which claim to support SCSI-3 reservations, however, the validation on Windows 2008 says that it just isn't so. I have tried both implementations and neither works. Is there some configuration that needs to be done to tweak how functionality is exposed by the iSCSI Target daemon? Any pointers or tips would be greatly appreciated. I am absolutely loving the whole ZFS exposed as an iSCSI Target as it appears much more simple than what I have worked with up to now. I'd love to get this working and I'm sure there'd be a whole lot of other people interested in doing what I'm attempting. Which build of iscsi daemon are you running? There is a putback (CR 6735493) into snv-102 that fixed PGR which might address the problem with Windows 2008.
