Hey, I have a need to get some large yet cheap storaged attached to a Sun Blade 2000, but SATA HBA driver support on SPARC appears to still be nonexistant. So I hit eBay and scored for peanuts an LSI SAS-3800X PCI-X SAS HBA, which works fine at the OS level using the bundled mpt driver and allows me to leverage the backward compatibility to get SATA spindles online. So far so good.
However, does anyone know if these support FCODE installed so that any functionality (probe-scsi at worst, full boot capability at best) will be available at the OBP level? Not a dealbreaker since it will be used for a data zpool housing a RAIDZ, but I'm curious as to how well these cards can behave with OBP for future reference.
