Hi,
I just installed opensolaris 2008.11 on 2 machines (one virtual, one physical)
and they both fail to start the iscsi_initiator service like this:
svc.startd[7]: svc:/network/iscsi_initiator:default: Method
"/lib/svc/method/iscsid" failed with exit status 255.
Using truss I can see that both /lib/svc/method/iscsid and iscsiadm fail with
ENOENT on open("/devices/iscsi:devctl", O_RDONLY) and indeed there's no such
file. According to modinfo, there's no iscsi module loaded (it is on an older
Solaris 10 SPARC machine).
I installed SUNWiscsi and SUNWiscsitgt, the iscsi targets are working fine.
Anyone a clue on how to proceed ?
