A view is not a part of a host group. The host group is part of the view. So 
there is no such thing as removing the view from host group. If you want to 
remove the host group, just delete the host group members and then delete the 
group. stmfadm can do that.

You should probably read the COMSTAR Admin guide. The section named "Making a 
Logical Unit Available" Talks about this subject.
