On the Windows OS, the Filter Frame is easy to develop driver for
disk, volumećand filesystem.
when I view some material about AVS, It's like a Volume Filter. But
I am not sure:
1) AVS is not depend on the upper filesystem ;
2) The upper filesystem do not know the following AVS.
You analysis is correct. AVS as used for remote volume replication,
volume snapshots, or both, as a filter driver on Solaris. Throughout
AVS existence on Solaris, it has always been filesystem agnostic and
volume manager independent.
