I'd guess you are seeing the effects of this fix:
6770534 zvols do not observe character device semantics
Prior to 6770534 zvols were essentially behaving as write-caching devices.
With the fix for 6770534 now commit writes synchronously which is the correct
behavior. Build 115 includes several enhancements (including 6808269 6794362)
which should support enabling write-caching on an individual COMSTAR lun if you
want to re-enable this behavior.
