Yea I am in talks with supermicro over email as we speak. It sounds like flashing the firmware is just what the doctor ordered, however they have as yet to tell me which firmware to use.
I know it is one of these three ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/driver/SAS/LSI/1064_1068/IT/Firmware/B3/ However as to which one, well that's sort of up in the air.
