Hi, this is a very interesting announcement. Does this mean that out off the box SSD drives will be proper aligned and that optimal i/o's will be done on these kind of devices? At the moment a lot of users, knowing about the alignment requirement, have trouble getting it right. It's especially hard to validate. Will ZFS be also aware of these enhancements? To rephrase to question, when one adds a new device to the pool will that be optimal configured? Or must I create an aligned slice and than add the slice to the pool? I figure you can't give a integration build number or can you? Do you have any current recommendations regarding the correct configuration of sata ssd's?
