yes, we have AD. My storage is hp dl380 g5 with msa20 enclosure (12x750gb hdd) connected over 6404 scsi controller. this conf is supported in solaris. 1. Do I can simply install open solaris on this server and configure zfs to controll this hdds or array in msa20? 2. if yes, how I need to configure 6404 scsi controller? like jbod? msa20 have controller inside but...hmmmm
ideal solution will be windows storage server 2003 or 2008 because i know this to setup but this is costly.
