Question
when you made the new kernel where did you put it, you don't mention where
you put it as in /boot or somewhere else as just looking at what you have as
in "kernel root=/dev/hda3" you not telling it fully where the kernel is ya
wanna boot, i could be totally wrong tho as i have never had to worry about
these things as i usually plan it all out first and look for any problems
that i may occur and find the appropriate info on how to over come it. If
you have 2 Kernels just saying root =/dev/hda3 to me doesnt fully tell it
where the kernel is your just telling it the partition it is on. Please
correct me if im wrong as i don't claim to be proficient at all this.
