Hi all.

OK, so in my adventures in the world of Storm/Debian, I have come quite
a ways. It all started with installing Storm linux and my network card
(3Comm 905B-tx) not working. When I did an "insmod" on the module (for
3C59x) it said thast the Kernel version and the module version were
incompatible so it would not be able to load it.

I then attempted downling the driver and compiling it. Only to discover
there is no source code included w/ Storm. I then reinstalled Storm
several times and I still cannot figure out where the source is or how
to get it installed.

So I took someone's advice and tried to grab the debian Kernel source
package. Only to discover that most packages that it depends on (Perl 5,
etc...) are older versions... so I went on to a new adventure in package
management land.

My questions are:

1. where do I get source code for Storm. I know that source code is NOT
specific to Storm, but after I added the Kernel Source package
(downloaded from Debian), I cannot find the source anywhere on my
harddrive.

2. Will this solve my problem? I mean after having the source, if I
compile the driver as a module, will it be loadable?

3. Why are all the packages included in the Storm distro older that
required by the source? How can I upgrade all the packages to the latest
versions?

4. Can I remove a package that other packages depend on? I tried the
force remove option and it still did not work. (in dpkg)

THanks in advance.
