Yes,and that was exactly my answer.If you DON'T have your own domain
name then you CANNOT use your computer to send mail directly to another
mailserver.Every properly configured mailserver will do a lookup for
the fully qualified domain of your machine.You have to configure your
MTA (usually exim) to use your ISP's smtp server.
Nothing new than what I wrote first time.By default storm configures
exim to run only for the localhost which is a great thing considering
security and I wouldn't want it otherwise.
Now if you want to use your conputer's MTA for receiving/sending mail
then as I said run eximconfig and carefully read the options.Everything
is explained in details on the screen.
