Hello all.

My apologies if this has already been answered, but I did a pattern
search for "joys" in the archives back to June, and came up with nothing
insightful.

In my ongoing quest of system tweaking, I have discovered that I don't
have joystick support. Is analog joystick support in the stock kernel
(2.2.16-storm-ide)? I have an ES1371 soundcard with a Gravis analog
joystick plugged into it. The output of 'lsmod' shows the joystick
module loaded, but I've tried to access it, resulting in no joystick
detected. Do I need to pass some module parameters when I install the
joystick modules, and how do I find out what they are? Do I have to
load any other modules (joy-analog?) to make this work, and if so,
what parameters do those need?

I've tried to pass some parameters to the joy-analog module in modconf,
which to the best of my understanding should be:
        js_an=1,0x0033

The result is always the same:

/lib/modules/2.2.16-storm-ide/misc/joy-analog.o: init_module: Device or
resource busy
Hint: this error can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including
invalid IO or IRQ parameters
/lib/modules/2.2.16-storm-ide/misc/joy-analog.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.2.16-storm-ide/misc/joy-analog.o failed
/lib/modules/2.2.16-storm-ide/misc/joy-analog.o: insmod joy-analog
failed

sigh.

TIA,
Mike
