Things to try again
cd /usr/src/linux &&
make modules &&
make modules_install
reboot
after reboot login as root and
update-modules
Try compiling without "set version information on all modules "
If you compile 2.4 with devfs make sure you " apt-get install devfsd "
before attempting to boot
with a 2.4 kernel.
What can also go wrong here:If you compile a 2.4 without devfs maybe it
doesn't work with the initrd image used by Storm,so remove the initrd
line in /etc/lilo.conf and give the path to /boot/kernel-image
and rerun lilo.-Can't say for sure since I keep the Stormix install as a
known good one-I don't play with
it.-I installed unstable onto another partition.
