Well as far as 'logical' upgrade, you just change your sources.list
and point to a Debian mirror of potato(stable),or woody(testing), or
sid(unstable). Anyone of these will upgrade the basic Storm(Debian potato).
I installed Storm because of the easy installer. I use the Storm
Package Manager instead of debian dselect. Other than that i just upgrade
any packages i need from any of the 3 Debian distributions.
So far i compiled a new kernel(2.2.18), upgraded to XFree-4 and
added many individual pkgs from testing and unstable. It all works
together because its Debian.
Just as Storm added some enhancements to Debian potato, Progeny
will add some of their own pkgs to Debian potato (2.2). And if you want any
of those , you will be able to add the individual pkgs by pointing your
sources list to Progeny and installing from there.
You don't have to wait for a new release or a new distribution.
With Debian you can upgrade your system everyday if you want to
because you have over 6000 pkgs available. And these are constantly being
upgraded and added to.
