Morning Folks, Well things aren look very pretty for Stormix this morning. Seems the whole Linux world has heard by now. It is pity, because they had a great distro and I was waiting for the next release. Onto other things now... I did an upgrade to Progeny over the weekend. This is a beta release by every term. Nothing went as smooth as I had hoped, but I am up and running. Now for my question. How do I get truetype fonts working with XFree 4.0.2? I have read through the docs, how-tos and can seem to get it working? Libranet Linux. Anyone have a sources list? Or for that matter a place to find the ISO image? Progeny at this point is not for newbies. It shows promice, but Stormix is WAY ahead of it. The good news, is Stormpkg and SAS both work with Progeny. FTP sites. Now that it appears that the Stormix FTP site isn going to be back on-line any time soon, I am thinking about creating a mirror of it for western Canada. Does anyone know of a site that I can rsync/wget from to build this up? If on the other hand, my boss won let me host it here, does anyone have a connection we can use? I was thinking of VLUG/VanLUG for this. I am happy to donate a hard drive for the use of this. Later folks. PS: to any/all of you working at Stormix, and still reading the list. You should be proud of yourselves. You created a great distro that introduced/converted a lot of users to the Debian way of doing this. Speaking of this, I can host a mirror of it if we need. Let me know.
