I asked about this the other day, but no-one really answered. VLUG
already has a debian mirror up (ftp.vlug.org/dists/debian) but it has some
problems with files missing from their reported directories. I've
e-mailed the ftp admin about this.
I've also gotten in touch with the administrator of
conan.eecg.utoronto.edu (one of the official canadian mirrors), because
conan has been down for a while. He says he's willing to bring it back up
if demand serves it. Don't know how good this would be for the rest of
western Canada, but for anybody at a university it would rock because of
the CA*NET connections.
You might want to talk to VLUG about their mirror if you're interested in
helping maintain it. I get about 300K/s at UBC :)
