Yeah, use apt-get from the command line.
I know it's not an elegant answer but it's cleaner and easier.  
Nothing to crash.
So, using only the tdyc site in your sources.list (the other sites 
being commented out with a "#" at the beginning of the line) run 
from the command line:
apt-get update
apt-get install task-kde

That should then do it.  Much easier and, again, nothing to crash.  
If there is a problem with the server itself, it'll take about 2 seconds 
to realize that.
