I have installed Stormix/Debian on my HP Omnibook 4100 laptop.
I have instructions from a SUSE user who says Linux installs easily
on the Omnibook (except for a hassle with sound).
Stormix installed OK but failed to "see" the pcmcia modem. Where
in Stormix, KDE, SAS, or the Debian command line should I go and
what commands need I use to get Linux to look for and recognize my
modem, please?
I cannot use apt-get to travel the Internet to find drivers and the KDE2
upgrade until I can communicate with my modem! :-)
