I will be building another box within the next month or
so, and am
starting my research now. I have my heart set on a dual
processor
board.

What I really want is a dual Socket A m/b, but it looks
like Tyan's (due
out w/n a 1-2 mos.) is going to cost $950USD. I am a big
fan of Duron
and K7 performance and price, but the $950 pricetag
negates those
advantages.

What I am looking at is the Asus dual PIII m/b, the CUV4X
series. It
optionally comes with onboard Ultra160 controller and
10/100 Ethernet.
It uses the VIA694DXP chipset.

Does anyone know how well these boards work under linux?
I don't need
the onboard scsi or lan options, I already have those pci
cards. So I
just need to know how well everything else works. ie.
are both cpu's
detected by kernel 2.4.x?

Thanks for you advice.
