well - any mobo that is claimed to be SMP compactible will easly work
under linux - the problem here is VIA chipset, that sometimes may have
some glitches in process - the chipset may have some problems with
memory, or irq's (well - naturaly it's my experience), but if you are
not perfectionist, then look at any GOOD brandname (asus, abit - the
best) mobo.
My recomendation for linux could be something based on intel or
serverworks chipset - but - Intel is out of dualCPUchipset game (But
BX rocks, if you need dual cpu capabilities instead of ultimate speed)
- I still assemble a lot of postgres servers on 2xC500 - low price,
ultimate speed ;)
Or - you could go for serverworks chipset. I saw a good mobo on it
(sorry - cant recall even manifacturer), where all the extras were
left off, but still was 64bit slot and dual pci bus - in your case
this could be the ultimate - if you decide to really pay about 750-800
for mobo...
