Hello,
I just compiled my kernel using kernel-package from 2.2.16-storm to 2.4.1
After compiling I then used the make command to make a image into a debian
package.
After installing the package I then rebooted my machine and I loaded my
kernel using the
'loadlin' cmd from dos the prompt. When the 2.4.1 kernel is loading it says
'Loading .....................................
..............................................
Uncompressing Linux... OK, booting the Kernel
_' from here the cursor just flashes and the kernel does not load.
My question is why is the new 2.4.1 kernel not loading?
Does the new 2.4.1 kernel load on top of the 2.2.16 or is lilo not
recognizing the
new kernel image?
I have no problems booting the 2.2.16 kernel.
