There is no immediate reason to quite using Storm for a while.  Once it
is getting a bit old you could always try Debian itself which isn't as
scary as it seems.  I install with as little a possible and us apt-get
to tailor it from there.  Alternatively you could look at Progeny
(http://www.progeny.com/), which is currently at release candidate
stage.  This is 'a commercial release of Debian'.  I haven't tried this
myself though.
