Richard and Stovers I agree with you Richard, a stove project has to start with the fuel. When you have the fuel, briquettes, woodchips, pellets or whatever affordable, to an acceptable price and in sufficient quantities, you will easy find the type of stove, which will work satisfactory together with the fuel.
Another thing needed will be consciousness about the need of changes. Keywords will be health, environment and prices etc. That is a discussion which has to take place inside the community involved. Some will be losers and some winners. But by mobilizing the creativity of people you will always find the wright solution. There will always be some who want to make it different. Cheap mass produced stoves and subsidized fuel is one way, Community Based Participation is another; the future will have the answers. More unemployment or more jobs is the question? Paal W
