Dear Josh (is he subscribed?)
Great article. Having gone to Africa in 1977 to build rural water supply systems I appreciate the usefulness of the system you have created. I have on question you might be able to answer. If I boil water in a container that has some char in it, will it help in any manner? Is it worth putting some into the container? I was wondering if the processing temperature might have to be above a certain value to get a taste-free result. Ideas? Experiences? Thanks Crispin FYI we had an article published last month on using TLUD and other chars for water treatment in developing communities: http://www.wcponline.com/pdf/October2012Kearns.pdf feel free to share!
