Dear Xavier
Try the FAO website. It has many reports on fuels and uses, country by country in many cases. Grant Ballard-Tremeer may have some ideas too. For some reason, it is very hard to find data about that. I couldn't find anything in the GACC data or in the Practical Action Energy Outlook. There are statistics on people using "solid fuels" or "traditional biomass", but nothing specifically on charcoal. Maybe it will appear in the "Data and statistics" section of the GACC website, which has been "Coming soon" for quite some time already. Maybe there's more info in the IEA World Energy Outlook? Does anyone know where to find such info?
