We don't mind taking your money, but it has a PT Barnum-esque flavour to it. 

It also drives up the local price of energy with knock-on effects for the poor 
who have to pay more for energy. And it is cold here.

It's true that UK buys imported pellets at far higher than the fossil
fuel equivalent energy cost but I think the subsidy is paid for by a
tariff on fossil fuels (climate change levy for some part) which is
borne by all of us that buy fossil fuel derived electricity.
