Yesterday the council unanimously approved a moratorium on billboard repair permits to give the planning commission/zoning committee time to work on billboard repair language. I am not sure how the proposed change of responsibilities for the Planning Commission would affect this process. Regardless, for the time being the music has been turned off on the oft repeated dance of Clear Channel applying for a permit, it eventually being denied by the city and CC suing the city to rebuilt their falling down structures.

Fletcher faces Finney Two complaints against Ramsey County Sheriff Bob Fletcher that have been bouncing around law enforcement agencies for weeks have landed at the St. Paul Police Department. Police spokesman Paul Schnell said Wednesday that the department has been asked to review whether Fletcher violated any laws during a League of Women Voters debate last month.
