Please Introduce Yourself What's your connection to St. Paul public schools? mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] _________________________________________ My name is Paul Skrbec. I have lived in St. Paul for 9 years and have been more active politically in city and state politics as a campaign worker for Dave Thune. My partner Steve was a product of St. Paul Central HS and together we own a coffee shop on West 7th Street.
In the past, I have supported a few of our current school board members (Al Oertwig) as a host for campaign fundraising. Currently I am member of the board of directors for the Stonewall DFL caucus (communications chair) and making attempts to learn more about school issues. Additionally, Steve and I are working with members of the HS speech teams to provide a venue for kids to practice their speeches for an audience at our coffee shop and raise money for their under-funded clubs at the same time. We are also working with the Out For Equity program to provide safe space for GLBT youth and a smoke-free, alcohol-free environment. Finally, we are working with Tim Erickson and others on this group to host events for St Paul e-Democracy (stay tuned for announcements soon).
