Friends,

This is the first meeting regarding the city charter amendment by Greg Copeland, allowing "Zero Dollars" for major league sports facilities. While it differs from the language of "SAY IT AIN'T SO, JOE !!" petition, we would recommend people attend the meetings to lend support and make their feelings known. Apathy from anti-stadium tax people will be viewed as weakness, and this is our first real chance to influence the process in St. Paul. Please make an effort to attend.

The ad hoc committee of the St.Paul Charter Commission appointed to consider the proposed amendment to prohibit taxes for major league professional sports team stadiums will hold its first meeting March 10 at 4:30 PM in the conference room in the City Council office area on the 3rd floor.
You may want to call city hall to confirm the time and place of the meeting.
