Last nite I was unanimously elected to be the Chair of the Ramsey County Mental Health Advisory Committee. I have asked the committee to gather information on how the mentally ill are treated in our: a.. court systems (including family court) b.. by the police c.. while in confinement We, of course, will be examining many mental health issues. Especially what effect the legislative cuts are having on the mentally ill. We do need additional community members for this committee.
