Neighborhood Leadership Program
Building Leadership Skills Within Community
Challenge yourself . . . "Tune-up" your leadership skills . . . Make new connections .
. . Link with others to share your goals/dreams for your neighborhood. If you live,
volunteer, or work in one of Saint Paul's neighborhoods, are between the ages of
16-99, and want to connect with others who want to make a difference in their
community, then this is an exciting opportunity for you! Plan now to attend a
six-month series of skill-building sessions from April*September: Application
deadline is March 31!!
� Kick-off overnight retreat April 17-18, 2004
� Two sessions a month held at various neighborhood locations (to be
determined). Attendance at all sessions is expected:
Thursday evenings from 6:00-9:00 pm: April 29, May 27, June 24, July 22, August
19, Sept 23
Saturday mornings from 9:00 am-12:00 pm: May 15, June 12, July 10, August 7, September

� Session Topics Include:
Understanding Your Leadership Style, Assessing Community Assets, Needs, and
Realities, Teambuilding and Group Problem Solving, Conflict Management and
Resolution, Making Meetings Work!, Project Management. Building Community
Through Partnership and Collaboration.
� Individual coaching and support
$75 fee covers materials and meals for all sessions and the overnight retreat.
You must commit to attending all of the workshops. A few scholarships are available.
Childcare and transportation to sessions available upon request.
