Good morning!
I hope this e-mail finds you well on this beautiful spring day.
Central Community Housing Trust is holding two special "Building Dreams" sessions in
St. Paul, and I hope you can attend one of them. They are short, powerful and
informative sessions about the affordable housing crisis in our community and how
Central Community Housing Trust (CCHT) is helping meet that need.
As you know, housing is a critical foundation to the well-being of families and
individuals, and housing availability for all is critical to the economic health of
our region. Since 1986, CCHT has built and renovated 1,200 units of housing for many
of the most difficult-to-serve families and individuals in our community.
You may have heard that, in response to many requests and much encouragement, CCHT is
expanding to the entire metropolitan area. Indeed, our first St. Paul affordable
housing project will be the adaptive re-use of the historic Crane/Ordway warehouse
building in Lowertown, St. Paul. This unique project will feature approximately 61
units of affordable work-force housing.
Through "Building Dreams" we hope to increase community understanding, education, and
commitment for our work. These are NOT fundraisers, and only last 59 minutes
(guaranteed!).
