do you happen to know GSE's water rate? it would be interesting to know if the water is pumped from an aquifer or city pipes. and if an aquifer what the rates are and what the state of the aquifer is. Brian Bates MacGroveland.

I do not know the rate that they have to pay, but I have found out that they do have to pay according to the amount of water they pump from their well. The near Half Million was for just the first Quarter of this year, so it must be a fair amount of water that they use.

Biran brings up interesting points about the state of the Aquifer, though my understanding is that they are tapped into an aquifer that runs all the way to Lake Superiour (rather large), so I doubt that any serious impact is being done on the aquifer. But then again they are not a brewery like they used to be. It would be interesting to dig into the records and see how much water they used as a brewery/bottling plant vs an ethanol plant.

What they are doing with the sewage is an interesting question that needs to be answered. Reports from the Cave and sewer explorers (you remember the URBAN TERRORISTS who got arrested last year?) say they wonder about the "Boiling hot liquid" coming from the area.

Another interesting thing is it explains why they are charging for the water now. They have to pay a couple 10ths of a cent per gallon for their Water/Sewer bill, and when your so broke you have to use one of your own board members as your attorney (I would guess that they couldn't afford to pay Fable anymore) every penny counts.
