        What's New In Your Neighborhood?
==================================================

The Park Partners program of the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation
Division was introduced last fall, maybe not the best season to kick off
such a program. This spring however - a time when people tend to be
thinking about getting outside - we're receiving many inquiries! Over
the past month we've rec'd applications from about 20 groups. The
following sites just have groups assigned:

Western Sculpture Park
Prospect Boulevard Bluff
Prosperity Park
Hillcrest Recreation Center
Horton Park (two groups signed up)
Margaret Recreation Center
Summitt Avenue Monument Park
Lower Landing Park
Hidden Falls Park (north)
Gordon Square
Mears Park

Additionally, we have approximately 150 flower gardens maintained by
volunteers on Parks land through our Community Garden Program, and 15
native plant restoration sites at which volunteers regularly offer their
time through our Eco Partners Program.

For further information, you may call the Environmental Volunteer
Hotline at 651-266-6458 or visit the City of Saint Paul, Parks and
Recreation Department webpage at: www.ci.stpaul.mn.us/depts/parks
