>> I thought that was where they wanted to move the new cleaner burning Natural Gas power plant You are thinking about the Island Station EAW: http://server.admin.state.mn.us/resource.html?Id=1843 That proposal for a 49 Megawatt natural gas-fueled generating plant was withdrawn and they are now going to do housing/retail/entertainment on the site. (Hot dog! my bike commute keeps getting better and better; can't wait to have a beer on a deck over the Ol' Miss) The area in question is the old Koch Mobile site on top of the bluff. The Environmental Quality Board is just now prepping the EAW for posting online (FYI, we got a fancy new scanner so in the future _ALL_ EAWs will go up; it used to be that only those for power plants were hosted here). I will drop you a note off list when it is published, or follow the goings on at: www.eqb.state.mn.us Andrew Koebrick Web Coordinator / Librarian Dept. of Administration State of Minnesota 658 Cedar St. St. Paul, MN 55155 651-296-4156 http://server.admin.state.mn.us p.s. Yes, I am posting from my work email- but heck, it is after 6:00 and this seems work related... -----Original Message----- From: John Birrenbach [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, May 12, 2004 1:12 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [StPaul] River Bluff EAW available -------------------------------------------------- REMINDER: Only 2 Posts Per Day Per Person -------------------------------------------------- At 9:11 AM -0400 5/12/04, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: >For those who have been waiting for something to happen since the >gasoline storage tanks came down at the corner of Otto and West 7th, >the Environmental Assessment Worksheet for the planned residential >development is now available. > I thought that was where they wanted to move the new cleaner burning Natural Gas power plant, so they could get rid of the Nasty Coal burning plant. Course no one has told us how they plan to get all the Natural Gas to the power plant (probably right down W7th St :-) ). I am probably confused, but I could have sworn I saw it here on the list. -- Sincerely, John Birrenbach W 7th Neighborhood, St Paul MN === GSE & Ethanol Information === http://209.98.144.66/GSE/ === Political & Business Consulting === http://www.birrenbach.com/ === Web Hosting for Candidates and Issues === http://209.98.144.66/ ====================================== "Six years on the council has trained me to feign interest for long periods of time" Chris Coleman Jan 21, 2004 _____________________________________________ NEW ADDRESS FOR LIST: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To subscribe, modify subscription, or get your password - visit: http://www.mnforum.org/mailman/listinfo/stpaul Archive Address: http://www.mnforum.org/mailman/private/stpaul/ _____________________________________________ NEW ADDRESS FOR LIST: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To subscribe, modify subscription, or get your password - visit: http://www.mnforum.org/mailman/listinfo/stpaul Archive Address: http://www.mnforum.org/mailman/private/stpaul/
