I don't see the reason why all of you should get so
uptight about the itsy-bitsy little smoking ban. The
smoking ban what good government is all about. Many
people complained when the no-littering on the freeway
ordinance came into effect, citing undue government
intrusion on our lives.

In hind-sight, it has produced a lot of good for our
highway system. A smoking ban will be seen in the same
way, in time.

>From all the whining, you would think that Dave was
trying to ban the popewhich really isn't a bad idea,
once you think about it!

Thank goodness we still have Dave around to do our
thinking for us as we don't think anymore. We resigned
ourselves to let KSTP AM 1500 and the tobacco
companies do that for us.
If the adults are ever going to run this city again,
it's time to SLAP THAT BAN over the stinking of those
rude, inconsiderate foul-mouthed smokers and do it
over the entire city and not just the bars /
restaurants. We should stop the tobacco companies from
turning OUR city into a smoke filled outhouse. If the
smokers (read: cigarette company supporters) object,
why not give them a one-way ticket to a "right to
work" state of their choice?

When in hell are we going to stand up for ourselves,
like we used to?

It's time to ban the sale of cigarettes, as well as
their use. We can live without the trash on the
highways and we can live BETTER without the cigarettes
littering the landscape of our health.
