But this is not what the public is being told.
The information from being distributed says:
"HOW TO SUBMIT WRITTEN COMMENTS:
"The Chief of Police Selection Committee will be accepting comments from
citizens about the Chief of Police Finalists by email
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) or fax (651-292-7565) through Monday, May 3, 2004 at noon."
I think it is very easy to reach the conclusion that the comment period is
closed before the forum is even held when an apparent deadline for "written
comments" is clearly stated.
