If I understand correctly, beginning this Saturday, volunteers at Como park will begin to ask visitors for donations to support the park. Although, technically admission will remain FREE.
A couple of interesting facts from the article (by Karl Karlson).
- St. Paul has one of only 4 FREE large city zoos. - Como Zoo opened in 1897 with three donated deer.
