Welcome to the St. Paul Job Shadow Online Event:
I just got back from our kick-off event at Highland Park high school, where we heard some very articulate testimonials from high school students about the impact that a job shadow or internship can have on how they view their future.
One of the best kept secrets in St. Paul, is the growing number of students seeking job shadow or internship opportunities. We hope that this online event, will give members of the community an opportunity to learn more about the importance of job shadowing or internships and the profound impact that they can have on students.
We hope to share success stories from both students and hosts.
We intend to answer questions about how one goes about becoming a job shadow host or sponsor.
And, we hope to help build some new connections between our local schools and businesses or organizations, that will go on to impact the lives of St. Paul high school students.
However, all that we are able to do - is provide the space for all these things to happen. Without the participation of school staff, students, and members of the community - we cannot accomplish anything.
