I went to job shadow an eighth grade math teacher because I am very interested in teaching math. I had a great time and learned alot about what teachers have to do throughout the day. The job shadow was also very helpful because I learned that if I was going to teach math that I would need to teach at a higher level to enjoy my job more. I recommend job shadowing because you will have a good time and you will be able to see how the job goes to see if you like it or not. If you don't like it its not to late to change your mind.

I went to United Hospital and went to a program called So you want to be a nurse. It was a really fun program where we learn about being a nurse and where we get info on going to school to become a nurse. We were able to follow a nurse around and see what their everyday job was like. I was able to go to the OR and watch a open heart surgery being performed which was a lot of fun. I felt like i learned a lot and i had it was a good experience for me, however i don't think I will become a nurse because it isn't what i want to do. -Amy Devitt

On friday May 14, i went to The Little School which is a day care that i work at and that i want to work at in the future. i job shadowed Molly Kroiss, a lady that i work with. it was interesting to see how the toddlers behave in the morning, since i have only worked with them in the afternoon, after their 2hour naps. i had a very good time and i know that this is what i want to do in the future.
