To those who were able to volunteer at the Grand Excursion: THANK YOU!!! I
know it was hectic and there were problems with logistics, and want all to
know how much efforts were appreciated. If you have feedback or didn't get
T-shirt, etc. as promised, contact Linda Zelig at 651/298-0441 or

I'd like to take this opportunity to say how much impressed I am by the
spirit of service at Ramsey County. Of all the entities I connected with, the
response from Ramsey County employees was tremendous! Kudos! I came away from
the experience with a very good feeling about where I chose to live and raise my
family. Very satisfying. Thought all should know.

I hadn't intended to get into the business of volunteer recruitment, but NEAT
is working to support voter registration and Roxy Foster, Chair of our
Strengthening Parent Groups committee asked me to post and pass this on.

Those in corporate/government unit/nonprofit environments can you pass on to
staff/constituents? You'll probably want to take the text from the Web page,
not this e-mail. Thanks much!

ALSO, NEAT needs a board secretary and volunteers to support new standing
committees:
Programming
Legislative Task Force
Fundraising
Finance
Communications
Strengthening Parent Groups

Please give me a call if you'd be interested in getting involved in NEAT.

communities?

This is probably a ONE TIME e-mail (I'm mixing metaphors Grand
Excursion/other community volunteer activities). Please let me know if you would like
to be
added to either the NEAT e-list or to a "general volunteer" e-list I should
probably start.

Also, if you like doing this sort of thing, you might want to check out the

Wander around the "Out & About" section of the site and let me know what you
think.
