Yes, I understand the smoke drifting has been a problem, David. However, it is
important to honor Peter Quinn (owner of Latte) for his efforts on supporting the
smoking ban. We will be trying to have such a big party that there will be standing
room only... I'd better ask Peter to have extra desserts on hand! If people are
spilling out into the hallways with their dessert, this will make a powerful statement
about how consumers can vote with their pocketbooks and support those businesses that
are courageous enough to stand up for the right thing.

Also it will show to the smoking-proponents that they will not necessarily lose
business if all restaurants & bars are on equal footing.

Dinner will be at Mai Village on University from 6-8, and we are personally inviting
Debbie Montgomery as the guest of honor for that segment. We are still in search of a
happy hour venue for the 4:30-6 slot because it's just a tad harder to find nonsmoking
bars. Old Man River is a great idea but I recall that it is a little small... would
standing room only be a good idea?

Cheers,
Cristy

I have read that the smoking restaurant across the hall from Latte leaves
its doors open and the smoke drifts into Latte. Has this been fixed?

already the choice for dessert from 8-9.
