John,

Of course living in Mpls doesn't preclude you from the discussion. A casual reader of
this list would rightly wonder, though, how a person living in Minneapolis had voted
for St. Paul mayor (actually, I was trying to figure that out as well). That's a
legitimate question, and one you've answered. No need to be defensive.

absolutely. that's no secret. does that proclude me from the discussion? i
didn't see in the rules that you had to live in the city limits to comment.

besides, bob said he felt betrayed because he voted for kelly and now kelly
supports bush. I lived in st paul when kelley was elected and i voted for him.
seems relevent to me.

There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick
at heart, that you can't take part; you can't even passively take part, and you've got
to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the
apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people
who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be
prevented from working at all!--- Mario Savio
