An interesting aside is that the Mayor is supporting the President because we are "At war with terrorism" and that we shouldn't change horses in the middle of the stream.

I wonder if Mr Kelly knows that according to every president since Nixon we have been at war, with one thing or another. Poverty, Lack of Health Care, DRUGS..... so I guess that since Nixon, the one to start a "WAR on drugs" he should still be in power cause you know we have yet to win the War on Drugs.

Secondly I really have to question if Mr Kelly understands that Terrorism is not something that a SINGLE administration is going to be able to rid the world of.

Given his words, it would indicate to me that we shouldn't change the president until the War on Terror is over. That sort of thought can easily be applied to the Mayoral Office as well. We shouldn't change administrations cause _(insert project or idea not yet completed here)_ .

When will the War on Terror be over? Well we been fighting even home grown terrorists since when? SLA, Militia Groups, Unions (there were considered to be terrorists by the company owners). How long has terrorism been used to overthrow a government (looks to Central America, former Soviet Union & many of it's republics, Phillipines, South East Asia, India and Pakastan... I don't think I need to go on)?

If that is indeed his belief then I must really reconsider him holding the position as Mayor of St Paul. Is this the type of leader we want?

Kelly has always been a boarderline Democrat, he was not endorsed by the DFL (nor has any Mayor since when Schieble? ), He didn't support Wellstone over Coleman.
