So, what is your block or neighborhood doing on National Night Out?
I've been out of town for several weeks - so our block club is a little underprepared this year. HOWEVER, this weekend we decided to go ahead and pull something together anyway.
With less than 48 hours notice, I put a sign in my front yard and the alley, announcing a party Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm. I then whipped together a flyer and distributed it on our block and the blocks facing ours.
We normally get anywhere from about 30 - 50 people for block parties, it will be interesting to see what we get this year.
We usually have pot lucks (there is always too much food). My neighbor is bringing some "home brew" beer - and if I drink enough, I might just juggle flaming torches for the kids!
I'm eager to hear what others are doing..... or reports after the fact....
I'll let you know how ours turns out.
