On Nov. 15th of this year, NEAT will be hosting a forum to discuss strategies for dealing with the achievement gap in St. Paul schools. For more info, visit the NEAT web site or contact Jennifer Armstrong - [EMAIL PROTECTED]

(NEAT is an independent, citywide association of parents, parent organizations and community members working to support public education in Saint Paul.)

In preparation for that discussion - I would encourage folks to check out the Education Achievement Gap Idea Generator that MPR is currently promoting. In addition to the idea generator, they have a great deal of content about the Achievement Gap on their web site and will host a town hall discussion of the issue on October 18th, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Penumbra Theatre in St. Paul. The meeting is free and open to the public.
