This was indeed the idea of the community.
All I can say, John, is that now that the lane width has been brought up to the standards of a Minensota Trunk Highway, it will be a lot harder to lower them back down again with some sort of stupid busway. That means that in order to install a busway, there is no choice but to eliminate parking the entire length.
This actually makes is far LESS likely that we will have a busway.
Just remember that traffic engineering never makes sense at first glance, and we'll all be OK. :-)
