Oooof. If the first mission statement was worded "to promote justice and protect everyone's freedom" I would feel alright with it. But the way it is worded it sounds like a mission statement for an american "gestapo" protecting the "freedom" of america. Makes them sound like a mini army. Makes ME scared. And I'm hoping they do a little more than "protect and serve". That sounds pretty passive. I hope they get out in the communities and get to know the people they work with. Makes their job a lot safer and easier.
